Wardrobes and Chests of Drawers Built for a Kid's Room — Not a Scaled-Down Adult One

Kids' wardrobes need to hit two things adult ones don't: a low hanging rail a four-year-old can reach, and rounded edges at face height. Our wardrobes and chests of drawers come from Kocot Kids, a Polish manufacturer that's been making children's furniture for over 25 years. Everything in this collection ships flat-packed but uses cam-lock hardware and pre-drilled holes that go together cleanly the first time.

What to look for:

  • Hanging rail height — a low rail (around 100 cm) lets a 3-year-old hang their own coat; an adjustable or two-tier rail grows with them
  • Drawer slides — soft-close metal runners last; plastic runners fail within two years of daily use
  • Tip-over safety — every wardrobe over 80 cm tall ships with a wall anchor strap, which we recommend installing on day one
  • Material — solid pine front panels with melamine carcasses balance budget and durability; full-pine pieces are available at the higher end

Most wardrobes in this collection are 80–120 cm wide and 160–180 cm tall, sized for a typical kids' bedroom.
