With a seat as low as 14 cm, your child sits down on their own from around 10 months – feet flat on the floor, back supported by the integrated backrest. Unlike a high chair, it brings sitting down to your child's level: no climbing, no lifting. A core idea of the Montessori approach.
Three seat heights (14, 19 and 24 cm), adjustable without tools, take the chair from weaning age into the early school years – for drawing, crafting, playing or eating. And unlike a simple cube stool, it always has a backrest.
Petinka crafts the chair in Europe from premium birch plywood with gently rounded edges and a natural, child-safe finish. The minimalist Scandinavian design fits any modern home, and it is the perfect partner for the height-adjustable kids table from the same range (sold separately).
